A Hot DebateThe TV adaptation of Rachel Reid’s Game Changers series starring new pop culture darlings Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, recently took the world by storm. Anyone who doesn’t pay attention to the world of fantasy romance novels might be surprised by the show’s huge success. The US publisher’s book series, for one, was not fully prepared for the huge demand that the program stimulated. (The sight of those illustrated covers, with the near-impossible time to stock up and the responsibility to initiate a rush of buyers, still makes me and many other booksellers shudder.) But not everyone was surprised by the show’s popularity. Book critics have been spreading the gospel of Shane and Ilya for years.

As the producers of television as a jealous group, the wild success of A Hot Debate it may promote a series of new projects aimed at the same audience. I can hear the murmurs of frustrated gamers trying to find the next amazing romance scene popping up in writers’ rooms around the world. For anyone who wants to be the first in the next team-or any producers looking for the next book to adapt-I have collected the best books of sports love that can become the next Heated competition. I hope these heart-stealing books will keep you entertained until the premiere of the second season.
