Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, which hit the theaters on March 19, is still the talk of the town, garnering rave reviews from audiences and industry colleagues for his stunning acting and Aditya Dhar’s powerful vision. On Tuesday, Shefali Shah joined the long list of fans singing the praises of the film, by dropping a warm tribute on social media on March 31, sharing memories of their first meeting and praising his passion, energy and experience in various roles, he also praised his time as a spy.

Shefali shared old memories in a video from an award show where she worked with Ranveer before Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. In the video, Ranveer is seen lifting her. He shared, “The first time I met @ranveersingh was exactly like this. I was at a Galla Gudiyan dance workshop in a studio in Bombay, all the actors were pouring in while I stood aside, trying to be invisible, giving an awkward smile and greeting everyone. And suddenly, from behind, I am lifted from the ground by leaping arms. I was about to explode when I heard a very excited voice say, “Shefu, let’s make an ass-kicking film.”… it was Ranveer. This was our first interview. And just like that, we became a team. It’s Ranveer, that’s why I love him so much. He has no filter. His ability to feel emotions and express them honestly is like a child’s. His energy, enthusiasm and warmth are contagious. His passion for people, for whatever he does, is unmistakable. ”

He shared how he makes everyone feel important in the teams and continued, “Ran (I call him affectionately) treats you like you are important, and that is very encouraging. He is a team player 100%. He knows the importance of each player, and he knows when to step back and be a support to someone, and that requires a lot of protection and a strong effort from each individual. One time, after DDD was released, he sneakily went to the cinema and texted me after telling me about my work again. And his praises, or nothing about him, are there. He is not polite, politically correct, lawless, or clothed. He is completely genuine, someone who feels a lot and expresses it unashamedly as a person and actor. I am a big fan of Ranveer’s character. If he is in a movie or commercial, I will watch it just for him. He is one of the best actors out there. and so always. His plays are very complex, yet he makes them seem simple and effortless. “Concluding the letter, he wrote, “And that’s the beauty. You never see Ranveer Singh as an actor or his good work.
