Taylor Swift helps save Vin Diesel during the controversial IHeartRadio Music Awards gaffe

Taylor Swift dominated the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday — and helped keep a hapless Vin Diesel in the process.

The 13th annual awards ceremony – held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles – was plagued by technical problems throughout the night as the red carpet continued to be contested by those preparing to go on air.

The Fast and the Furious star Diesel later appeared to present rapper Ludacris with the Landmark Award.

However, while standing on stage, the 59-year-old actor admitted: “I don’t actually see the teleprompter.

The audience then stepped in to help him find the car, Diesel asked, “Is it there?

At the broadcast, Swift — who was sitting in the front row with her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce — was among those pointing in the direction of the telemprompter.

“You guys are amazing,” Diesel said before addressing the pop star directly: “Thank you, Taylor.”

The Pacifier Star continued to struggle in his ways as he presented the award before asking, “How’s it going so far?”

After the audience responded with joy, he added: “I’m actually overwhelmed by this.

He went on to present the award to his longtime collaborator and the evening’s host, Ludacris.

Swift went on to pick up an incredible seven awards on the night, including Artist of the Year and Best Pop Album for her acclaimed record, The Life of a Show.

In one of her acceptance speeches, Swift gave some painful advice to artists, encouraging them to develop their craft away from immediate online scrutiny.

He recounted spending “thousands of hours” as a young person improving his skills privately, making mistakes and learning from them. “I’m a firm believer that whatever you feed your mind, it’s going to internalize, and whatever you feed the internet, it’s going to try to kill it,” he said, clutching his Album of the Year trophy.

“And I don’t want that for your dreams.”

The pop star, wearing a seafoam green velvet corset and matching miniskirt, also took home the awards for Song of the Year and Best Music Video for “The Fate of Ophelia.”

Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu presented the award for Actress of the Year, prompting Swift to express her appreciation for Liu’s Olympic performance, saying: “You brought me so much joy.
