Amanda Batula and West Wilson are “fully in a relationship,” Page Six is told.
After the “Summer House” co-stars finally confessed their secret romance in a joint statement on Tuesday, a source close to the situation told Us that the two are a couple.
“It’s not just a reunion,” our insider insisted, adding that her co-stars – including Wilson’s ex Ciara Miller and Batula’s Kyle Cooke – are “angry” and “disappointed.”
After weeks of rumors and undeniable evidence, Batula, 34, and Wilson, 31, confirmed their romantic “relationship” with a message shared on their Instagram Stories.
“We’ve seen a lot of speculation online, so while this is still new, we wanted to provide some clarification,” the announcement read.
“It was not our intention to hide anything on purpose. Because of the complex relationships involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process the news privately before talking about it.”
They continued, “We’ve been friends over the years, through highs and lows, and the latest development was the last thing either of us expected.” Our relationship grew out of a real, long-term friendship, which made it especially important that we approach this carefully.”
The couple explained that since their “feelings changed,” they “wanted to take the time to understand what it really is.” [they] they felt.”
They concluded, “We also recognize that this has impacted more than just us and we never meant for our actions to hurt anyone or be seen as careless. We truly appreciate your understanding and respect as we look into this.”
Representatives for Batula, Wilson, Miller, Cooke and Bravo did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
On March 26, we revealed that her friends Batula and Miller, 30, had recently had a breakup of their friendship during growing up.
They were meant to film a joint Amazon Live presentation for Olly’s vitamins and supplements on March 24 but ended up doing it separately.
We have also noticed that they have stopped “liking” each other’s Instagram posts – even it seems that they have “disliked” many of them in the past.
Rumors of a Batula-Wilson romance began circulating on March 5 when a source told Deuxmoi that they were seen “openly dating, allegedly even holding hands under the table” at an event in New York City.
At the time, no one publicly denied the conversation.
Then when the topic came up during Wilson’s March 24th appearance on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” he explained, “He’s single now, and it happened with some of the people he was living with.
“We just spent time in New York. He’s single. I have to show him the streets, you know?”
He added, “If it’s not clear, that person is very important to me, and I like to care about him a lot,” calling Batula a “friend” when pressed further.
After Wilson’s comments were published, an Instagram user said, “West is a safe boy for Amanda because they wouldn’t date each other. He’s so sweet, he cares about his friends and they have friends to hang out with.”
Batula replied, “THANK YOUUUUUUU.
The Amanda Batula Swim founder and estranged husband Cooke, 43, announced their separation in January after four years of marriage.
“Summer House” fans watched their marriage crumble in the current 10th season of the reality show, which was filmed last summer.
Cameras captured Miller – and Wilson – having Batula’s back as he explored his relationship issues.
In fact, in the March 24 incident, Wilson comforted Batula who was crying and stood up to Cooke for being angry with him.
In a recent interview with Marie Claire, Batula praised Miller and West for their support.
“It would have been a very difficult summer to live without Ciara. She is one of the kindest, most loving and loyal friends I have ever had. She sends me messages that make no sense, reminding me how strong, strong, smart and kind I am – I don’t think she even realizes how much I need those letters,” Batula told the magazine days before the rumors of their connection appeared.
“It also means a lot to me how supportive West has been throughout the season, sometimes in ways I didn’t even know when filming. It’s not a game; it’s just the reality of who West is.
At the same time, viewers of “Summer House” Season 10 watched Miller and West deal with unresolved romance after their bad breakup after Season 8.
As for Cooke, he told Cohen on the March 10 episode of “WWHL” that he doesn’t “think there’s any merit” in thinking his estranged wife is seeing a friend.
The Loverboy founder continued, saying: “It would definitely surprise me and make me feel like I don’t care, and I think I’m probably the last person people would worry about. I think Ciara might have something to say.”
He made sure to add, “But if it makes Amanda happy, I think I’m going to have to vote ‘yay.’
