What to see from the 2026 Juno Awards carpet | CBC Life

The end of Canada’s biggest music weekend, the 55th annual Juno Awards promises plenty of fun, including a tribute to Nelly Furtado and performances by Arkells, The Beaches and Daniel Caesar. Even Prime Minister Mark Carney was in the audience at the TD Coliseum in Hamilton.

Just like that Previous Juno Awardsthis year there was strong support for Canadian designers and brands on the orange carpet, as well as bold, personal sartorial statements from artists such as Tia Wood, Kardinal Offishall and SadBoi. Several stars wore winning looks in black and white, as well as a few bold moments in red.

Here are the must-see ensembles from the 2026 Juno Awards carpet.

Nelly Furtado

Furtado, who was honored Sunday evening by being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, wore a strapless brocade dress by Canadian designer Lesley Hampton, paired with jewelry by Alexis Bittar.

Sarah McLachlan

With ’90s minimalism back in a big way, it’s no wonder McLachlan stepped out in a low-cut, spaghetti-strap floral dress on the orange carpet. The singer won a Juno for adult contemporary album of the year.

SadBoi

Ebhoni Jade Cato-O’Garro, better known as SadBoi, won a Juno Saturday night for rap album/EP of the year. On Sunday’s orange carpet, she wore a classic look by Canadian stylist Marc Andrew Smith, paired with jewelry by Alexis Bittar.

Cardinal Offishall

The rapper and producer wore an eye-catching jacket on the orange carpet, styled with leather pants, oversized sunglasses and a large pendant necklace.

Tia Wood

Nominated for contemporary Indigenous artist or group of the year, the Cree and Salish singer-songwriter stepped out in a stunning red ensemble created by Jason Pillay. From behindthe ruffled top of her Heather Bouchier dress forms a rosette, like a blooming flower. The jewelry is made by Helen Oro Designs.

Yves Jarvis

The nominee for another album of the year Jean-Sébastien Yves Audet, known as Yves Jarvis, wore the same suit paired with Gucci shoes at the party on Saturday night and on the orange carpet Sunday evening.

Tanika Charles

Charles, nominated this year for traditional R&B/soul recording of the year, stepped out in a black and white leopard print dress from Toronto label L’uomo Strano by Mic Carter, paired with bright pink earrings.

Raf-Saperra

Adeel Sardar Khan, known as Raf-Saperra, sported a black and red look in a cropped jacket, wide leg trousers and a black fur hat. The rapper and singer has been nominated this year for South Asian music recording of the year.

Sofia Camara

Nominated for best artist or group of the year, Camara wore an oversized pinstripe suit by Canadian label RW & Co., accessorized with a tie and wallet.

Melanie Fiona

Fiona, who won a Juno Saturday for traditional R&B/soul record of the year, wore a shimmering strapless gown with floor-length sleeves, accessorized with shoulder-grazing earrings and statement earrings.

Because Evans

The director and actress, who won a Juno last night for music video of the year, wore a cropped canvas work jacket by Source Unknown, teamed with leather slingback pumps.

Chyl

Ruochen Shi, known as Chyl, has been nominated this year for the dance recording of the year. On the orange carpet, he wore a sporty, oversized racing jacket with a small leather T-shirt and a short tie.

Fred

Chosen this year for the francophone album of the year, the singer wore an embroidered dress, decorated with leather, combined with wide-leg pants and a belt with a statement buckle.

On the beaches

The Toronto quartet, nominated for group of the year and recently winning rock album of the year, each has their own distinct style.
